  1. 11/2 cup leftover 7 dhan khichadi
  2. 3/4 cup besan
  3. 1/4 cup oats flour
  4. 2 tbsp oil for moin
  5. to taste Salt
  6. 1/2 lemon (juice)
  7. 1 tsp sugar
  8. For spinach purée:
  9. leaves Fistful of spinach
  10. 2 spicy green chillies
  11. 1 " ginger piece
  12. For tadka/tempering:
  13. 2 tbsp oil
  14. 1 tsp mustard seeds+ cummin seeds
  15. 1 tsp sesame seeds
  16. leaves Few curry
  17. 1 pinch asafoetida (hing)
  18. Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions to make to make Khichadi Muthiya

  1. Add spinach leaves, green chillies & ginger piece in mixer jar and grind to smooth paste with little water. In mixing bowl add leftover 7 Dhan Khichadi, besan,oats flour,spinach puree, oil salt, sugar and lemon juice. Mix well and make dough.
  2. Grease your hands with little oil. Take little portion of prepared muthiya dough, make cylindrical shape rolls as shown. Place them in steam container(with holes)..as shown.
  3. Place in steam vessel, filled with water,cover with lid and steam cook for 20-25 minutes till done.
  4. Cool steamed khichadi muthiya. Cut into1/4" thickness round slices as shown.
  5. In kadhai add heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cummin seeds, sesame seeds as splutters add curry leaves and asafoetida. Add khichadi muthiya. Mix well. Off the flame. Transfer in serving plate.
  6. Serve/ Relish Delicious Hot Khichadi Muthiya garnishing with finely chopped fresh coriander leaves.
